Fridah is the Head of Business Development and Marketing at Harambee Sacco. In this position, she is responsible for steering the overall business development, marketing, PR and Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Customer Service strategy for the Sacco.
She is a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and has over 15 years’ experience in Microfinance, Fundraising, Program Management and Marketing Management gained in various financial institutions.
Fridah’s career began back in the year 2004 at SMEP Microfinance Bank as a Micro Credit Officer, growing through the ranks to become a Programs Coordinator (WaterCredit & Kiva) – Programs that were funded and supported by www.water.org and www.kiva.org. She later moved on to join the Co-operative movement and worked in various Saccos in the capacity of Head of Business Development & Marketing. Before joining Harambee Sacco, she worked at Co-operative Bank of Kenya as a Co-operatives Relationship Manager, Nairobi Region.
Fridah is a vibrant presence in the office and approaches marketing for financial services with panache and forward-thinking grace. She is steadfast and knowledgeable when it comes to marketing strategy development, enterprise growth and personnel development. She is also very passionate about empowering communities through participating in development programs.
Fridah is passionate about the Co-operative movement in general and delights in working for Harambee Sacco as it gives her an opportunity to do what she enjoys most – Transforming lives.
Fridah holds a Bachelors Degree of Business Administration from St. Paul’s University, Limuru and Professional Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. She is currently undertaking certifications in Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and MBA (Strategic Management) at the University of Nairobi.
Fridah holds a certification in Organizational Performance Index (OPI) from the Kenya Institute of Management. She is also a Luminaries Award Winner – Year 2015 – by St. Pauls’ University and a a member of Kwanza Toastmasters Club. As a toastmaster, she aims to continuously improve her public speaking and leadership skills.
In her leisure time, Fridah enjoys the outdoors and socializing with friends.
